Scan Offset Calibration Generator

Generate a LightBurn test file (.lbrn2) and offset calibration file (.lbso) for import into LightBurn.

Laser & scan settings

These apply to every row on the test sheet. Scan speed is the value you are calibrating.

Text speed (mm/min) Use a speed you already know gives sharp labels — keeps row numbers readable and not blurred.

Scan speed (mm/min) The scan speed you want to calibrate. Each row uses this speed (with a tiny stagger per layer).

Line interval (mm) Distance between scan lines when filling each test bar.

Power (%) Laser intensity. Adjust up or down for your laser and material so fills and borders are easy to judge.

Box offset (mm) How far to offset the outline drawn around each scan test bar.

Scan offset range

The range of scan offsets to test so you can find the sweet spot. After the run, pick the best-looking bar and import the matching .lbso into LightBurn.

Start offset (mm) First offset value in the test range.

End offset (mm) Last offset value when rows are spread evenly across the range.

Rows How many test bars to generate across the range when Spread evenly is selected.

How should the rows be calculated?

Spread evenly — divide the range from start to end across all rows

Fixed increment — start at the start value and add the increment each row

Increment per row (mm) Example: start 0.000 with increment 0.100 gives 0.0, 0.1, … 0.9
